Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you start reading.
Where to start
Q: Where should I start with your books?
A: If you’re not sure where to begin, choose based on the kind of story you’re craving:
-
Something that lingers → Prometheus’ Priestess
-
Something warm & comforting → The Urban Underworld
-
Something intense & aching → Odette’s Vow
Or simply start with the story that feels like it’s calling you.
Books & Reading experience
Q: Do I need to know Greek mythology to read your books?
A: Not at all. The stories are written to stand on their own – the mythology adds depth, not confusion. If you recognise the myths, you’ll notice the layers. If you don’t, you’ll still experience the story exactly as intended.
Q: Are your books connected or standalone?
A: Most of my books are written as standalones, meaning you can read them in any order. However:
-
The Femme Fatale series shares thematic and mythological connections
-
The Underworld novellas form a continuous cozy fantasy arc
-
The Vows of the Lost Epics duet (Odette’s Vow + Odysseus’ Promise) should be read in order
Q: Do your books have happy endings?
A: Not always. My stories are rooted in myth, and myth doesn’t always resolve neatly. But they are always meaningful, emotionally satisfying, and true to the characters. If you love stories that linger – you’ll feel at home here.
Q: Are your books romantic or explicit?
A: My books focus on emotional depth, connection, and tension. Some include romantic or intimate moments, but they are always in service of the story – not the focus.
Q: Where can I buy your books?
You can buy my books directly through my shop page here, or through:
-
Amazon (paperbacks + ebooks)
-
Your favourite bookstore or library (you just need the title, my name, and maybe the ISBN)
If you choose to buy directly, you’ll also get:
✨ Instant ebook delivery to your device
✨ Access to any bonus content or extras I include
✨ The option for signed or special editions (when available)
It also means more of the royalties for the books go directly to me rather than the retail stores – which helps me keep writing the stories you’re here for.
Buying directly via my store
Q: How do I receive my ebook?
A: After purchase, your ebook will be delivered instantly as an ePub file to your email.
From there you can:
-
open on your phone, tablet, or laptop
-
send to your Kindle or preferred reading app
If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder – or contact me and I’ll resend it.
Q: Can I read your ebooks on Kindle?
A: Yes – all ebooks can be sent to your Kindle.
Simple instructions are included in your delivery email.
Q: How are paperbacks delivered?
A: Paperbacks are printed and shipped through Amazon, IngramSpark and BookVault, trusted global distributors.
Delivery times vary depending on your location, but typically:
-
NZ/AU: 5–10 business days
-
International: 7–15 business days
You’ll receive confirmation once your order is placed.
Q: Do you offer signed copies?
A: I offer signed bookplates (stickers you can put in your book). As I live in New Zealand, shipping books to me to sign to then reship out isn't financially feasible (for either of us!) Bookplates were the best alternative I could come up with. Special editions, when available, will be digitally signed.
Q: How long does it take for books to arrive?
A: All my books are printed on demand, which takes an estimate of 5 days. Add on 5-10 shipping days after that, and you should have your book within 3 weeks. Tracking is provided where possible.
Q: Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
A: For international orders, customs fees may apply depending on your country. These are set by your local government and aren’t included in your purchase.
Q: What if something goes wrong with my order?
A: If your book doesn’t arrive or your download link doesn’t work, just reach out. I’ll always make it right. Contact me here.
Q: What is “The Hearth”?
A: The Hearth is my private reader space – a quieter place for the stories behind the stories.
Inside, you’ll find:
-
behind the scenes life as an author
-
early access to new releases
-
first dibs on special editions, deleted scenes, and more.
Q: Still not sure where to begin?
A: Start with the story that feels like it’s calling you – or step into the Hearth and explore a little more slowly.
